I have finished college and am currently doing nothing (usefull) with my degree. There aren't a lot of things one can do with a BA in History, which focused on the Classical and Medieval eras, narrowing further to the military aspect of those long dead cultures. I once had glorious asperations to teach the jaded youth of our land the finer points of history, but came to realize that the little SOBs wouldn't give a rat's ass and that I'd be wasting my time. Then I though that I'd return to my Alma Mater and give back some of the insight that was given to me. That, too, has fallen by the wayside since I figure that my brother will have conquered all of Virginia above Richmond in the near future and wouldn't want to meddle in his affairs.
Long story short, I, like so many before me, have no effing idea what I am going to do with my life. Woe.
I also moved down to Louisiana, got fed up with it, and moved back to my beloved home state. I am very happy here with my friends and family and I would like nothing more that to stay near them whatever course my future takes. (That means I'm not moving 16 hours away again!)
Now, about my dA account. A wonderful friend bought me a subscription and made me realize that I need to do something artistic to warrant taking up valuable dA space. Alas, I no longer have a desire to draw. I still love to doodle but have given up my (futile)hopes of greatness. But all art is not drawn with pens or paint programs. Yes, I refer to the art of literature.
I love to write; it is my greatest passion. I've been reading a lot lately and want to put some of my own stories out there for the world to read. And through any advice that is offered, I will hopefully improve to the point where I would be comfortable submitting to a publisher.
Not that any of you give a crap. I just felt like writing something!
Woohoo! Dottie's back!

I was there for you when you were lonely
I was there when you were bad, I was there when you were sad
Breaking off is misery, I see a wilderness for you and me
There's something wrong with me, I'm a cuckoo
I loved the rest of your gallery, btw. The Top Gear pic just made this rainy day a little bit brighter!
